How to Disable a PowerTag Card

This information applies to the PowerTag Card and Google’s Find My Device app.

PowerTag Card can be disabled to stop usage and the sharing of its location. Once disabled, it will no longer report to Google’s Find Hub network, and the owner will stop receiving location updates.

If you receive a notification on your Android device that an unfamiliar PowerTag Card is traveling with you, you can make it ring directly from the system alert. After you locate the item, follow the steps below to disable it. Once disabled, the owner will no longer receive location updates and it will not trigger unknown tracker alerts.

To disable your PowerTag Card:

1. Find the button on the PowerTag Card.

2. Press the button 5 times.

3. On the 5th press, hold the button for a few seconds until you hear an audible tone.

   • This sound confirms the PowerTag Card has been disabled.
