PowerStick.com Named one of Ottawa’s Fastest Growing Companies
Exciting technology, outstanding customer service and an eye to quality are attributes credited for exponential three-year growth
Ottawa, ON – PowerStick.com, an Ottawa-based technology firm that creates cutting-edge portable mobile chargers, was named one of the region’s top 10 fastest growing companies by the Ottawa Business Journal.
Founded in 2011, PowerStick.com has seen a 343 per cent growth over the past three years, placing it in seventh position of this years recipients. Criteria laid out by the Ottawa Business journal included companies headquartered in the National Capital Region that can demonstrate revenue growth and positive cash flow over the past three years.
“This is an exciting time for PowerStick.com and we are thrilled to be recognized in this prestigious manner,” said Nigel Harris, CEO of PowerStick.com. “We’re a small but growing company doing really exciting work on an international scale, and it’s an honour to be recognized by our local business community.”
A unique aspect of PowerStick.com is that the design, engineering and manufacturing of their products are all done from their Nepean-based office, allowing them to label their products as ‘Made in Canada’ and NAFTA compliant.
“What’s really encouraging about this award is the recognition of the work that is being done locally,” said Harris. “People are surprised when they discover that our products are being made right here in Ottawa, and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate our local business roots with this award.”
This recognition adds to what has been an already great start to the year for PowerStick.com. They were recently recognized with a 2014 CES Innovations and Engineering Award for their PowerSound II, a portable Bluetooth speaker that simultaneously charges your mobile device.
With new products soon to roll out, 2014 is looking to be an exciting year for PowerStick.com.
